As a Civil Drafter you will have the responsibility for the preparation of civil drawings and documentation for a wide range of projects such as roads, bridges, pipelines, residential subdivisions and water & sewerage controls.
In your role you will be supported by the Team Leader as well as assistance, guidance and mentoring from the Civil Design Team.
Job Description
Prepares quality drawings and plans and documentation in accordance with the Engineer’s/Team Leader instructions & architectural drawings and specifications.
Works within the design and drafting team to ensure clear and concise documentation of the civil design.
Recommends solutions to design issues that will improve efficiencies.
Determine and define details of design to minimize any requirement for re-design or reworking.
Completes work according to project delivery times and advises Team Leader if schedules need to be re-prioritized.
Where appropriate takes ownership of projects and manages document control.
Where appropriate assists Clients with preliminary designs and technical expertise.
Where relevant, consult with relevant regulatory authorities to understand and comply with all expectations for approval of the civil design. Suite 12, Level 14, 327 Pitt St Sydney NSW 2000 2 of 2
Provide support to the project managers and engineers in construction phases of projects resolving design issues and managing changes to drawings as required.
Develop and assist in the maintenance of a standard drafting library.
